Our Organization
Central Hastings Early Education and Childcare is a charitable non-profit organization, incorporated on January 26, 1989. The affairs of CHEEC are run by a volunteer Board of Directors.

​At CHEEC, our team is passionate about learning strategies. They dedicate their day to your child's education and learning experiences. We promote a safe and nurturing environment to give your child that sense of security so they can be their best.
We believe that each day is a new experience, each day is fun and each day brings new challenges. Start your child with the best early learning here at CHEEC.

All of our program supervisors are Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs). We also have assistants in the classrooms who work with our program staff.
Your children are in good hands at CHEEC. Before starting with our organization, all staff and volunteers go through a thorough screening process involving a Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS), proof of vaccinations and reference checks.

Staff Development
Each year our staff have the advantage to participate in several seminars in child development. These seminars are available within our community at different organizations. This gives our staff the advantage to remain current on recent child education and development.

Philosophy
We share with parents the role of raising children to be responsible and creative people. Through a variety of fun activities both structured and unstructured we hope to help the child develop physically, socially, intellectually and emotionally. CHEEC is a place where a child can grow at his own level, in his own time.
